This is our performance tune for the E46 M3 with the S54 engine. We are proud of what we do here. You can be assured that you are getting the best of the best here at Chaos Calibrations, a dyno will prove it. Not only do we target increased drivability and power, but much smoother power delivery as well and some of the most extensive option list! When we support a platform, we go all out and provide the best possible.
Our tunes are our full performance packages for most naturally aspirated cars: whether completely stock, catless exhaust, intake, E85, etc. Simply mention your mods and we tune accordingly. Please reach out to us if you need tuning or want a feature that you do not see listed.
Datalogging can be conducted to promote the best calibration for your vehicle even without a dyno.

All tunes are allowed up to 3 customer requested revisions up to 14 days after receiving your first tune, at no extra cost.
-What's the process?-
You are purchasing our remote tuning service. After purchasing your tune, you will receive an email with our software download and instructions to begin the tuning process. It is a very straight forward process. You will need a Windows laptop or Android Device and K+DCAN OBD2 Cable.
You'll essentially check for any codes the car may have and save them. Then pull a backup of the ECU as it currently sits and send it in to us. We'll then build your tune, and send it over to you for uploading. It's easy as that!

FEATURES(explained):
Disable Dyno Rev Limit:
- This removes the RPM Rev limiter with missing vehicle speed (or when on a dyno). If selected, we match this to your normal rev limit.
DRIVE MODE ADJUSTMENT:
- This can adjust and enhance the throttle pedal feel for either comfort mode, sport mode, or both. Comfort Enhanced will sharpen comfort mode. Comfort Aggressive will match comfort mode with Sport. Sport Enhanced will sharpen Sport Mode further. Sport Aggressive will make sport mode more aggressive. Both Enhanced enhances both mods. Both Aggressive makes both modes more aggressive.
Drive Mode Memory:
- This enables you to select which drive mode is on when you turn your car on. Factory means the car will always start in comfort mode and switch to sport mode when you select the button. Or, you can have Sport Mode Always on, Sport Mode on when DSC is disabled, or Sport Mode Memory option, which will remember the last drive mode for the next time you turn your car on.
6MT Shift Lights:
- The SMG RPM Shiftlights on the cluster for 6MT cars. Can select to have them always on, or when Sport Mode is on.
- Increasing idle rpm can be useful for those that have lightweight flywheels and/or stiffer engine/transmission mounts as it can remove the vibration caused by these modification.
- This features aims to quiet and almost totally remove the cold start sequence. This may be beneficial to those with catless exhaust and loud exhausts who want a little bit of a quieter start up in the mornings.
POPS AND BANGS/FLAMES/OVERRUN FUEL CUTOFF:
- This feature enables pops and bangs upon lift off of the throttle. While decelerating, pops and bangs will be omitted from the exhaust. You can select varying ways of enabling this function as well as varying aggressions, some of which can be tailored to a very mild OEM spec setting or, a crazy setting with flames and loud gunshot like bangs. OEM+ will have a more casual way of the pops and bangs emitting from the exhaust, regardless of aggression selected. "Aggressive In Sport" will allow you to have more casual pops in comfort but way more aggressive ones in Sport Mode (This is the default for Flames).
